So Much Variety in the QC Music Scene

There are seven performances in this week's post. Friday's shows were all in one location, and Saturday's travels produced three undiscovered bands -r at least undiscovered on this blog. Summer is nearing an end, but outdoor music is still happening, as was evidenced by Friday's Live at 5 series and Paddle Fest Saturday evening in Bettendorf.

Benefits and Blues in the QC

I attend the occasional benefit – music for a good cause is always worth my money. This week, I attended two. One was a memorial, the other for one of my favorite causes. I also caught one of my favorite KC bands, and an Iowa City funk band for a whole lot of fun.
