Quad City Live Music New Year

For my last 2012 blog post, I'm not going to give you a review of where I have been. It's time to talk about upcoming New Year's Eve parties in the QCA. I'm not going to say this is the most comprehensive list of upcoming parties, but I would like to think I've managed to come up with a good start anyway.

Local blues band The Candymakers will be teaming up with The Gratest Story Ever Told (a Grateful Dead Tribute) at the RME Redstone Room. I have it on good authority that there will be some sweet surprises for partygoers. ($15 advance, $20 door)

Rock Island Brewing Company is expecting to rock the night away with Cheese Pizza and Eleven Fifty-Two. Both bands have local connections - and a much wider audience. ($10)

Rascals/Rascals Live will have a dual show, with dance band Funktastic Five on the Rascals Live stage and Lynn Allen on the Rascals stage. One cover charge gets you into both sides.(Reserved seating $25, SRO $20)

Jammerz in Hillsdale will be hosting a party with QC rockers House Arrest.

Pash n Brew will be partying in Morrison at Mr. Z'z Sportsbar

The Rock Island Moose has Machine Gun Willie

The Establishment Theater has 3 bands: The Curtis Hawkins Band, Minus Six and Navy Bean.($16)

1st Impression will be headlining the Missipi Brewing Company's bash in Muscatine.

Chuck Murphy will be the entertainment for the Rustic Ridge party in Eldridge. (free)

You'll find another acoustic performer, Retro Ron, at Icons in Rock Island.

The Muddy Waters will have a bash with The Avey Brothers (free).

North of 40 will be at The Rusty Nail.

Meet the Press will be at Poopy's in Savanna

Hawkeye Tap has Whiskey Business and Oratory

There's a masquerade party at the Renwick Mansion, Jason Carl and the Whole Damn Band and Have Your Cake will be partying the night away there.

The Couch Coins will be celebrating the new year at Grumpy's in the Village of East Davenport.

I'm sure there are plenty more!  Happy New Year all!!
